It is common to hear people say that time flies and it is true. I have put together a list of screen idols who died ten years ago. When I began researching this list of screen idols’ obituaries, I was surprised to read who had died and how old they had been when they died. I have sorted them by date. Doesn’t time fly?

Hedy Lamarr: 86, Viennese born film star, whose seductive beauty tempted all the male stars of the 1920’s and 30’s. Credited as co-inventor (with composer George Antheil) of a patented device for radio-controlled missiles. Old age, Orlando, Fla., Jan 19, 2000.

Durwood Kirby: 88, Kentucky born TV personality, announcer and foil to Garry Moore. Host of ‘Candid Camera’. Cause undisclosed, Fort Myers, Fla., March 15, 2000.

Claire Trevor: 91, Brooklyn-born movie actress. The brash moll in ‘Stagecoach’ and the Oscar-winning alcoholic singer in ‘Key Largo’. She played in nearly 70 films. Of respiratory disease, Newport Beach, Calif., April 8, 2000.

Douglas Fairbanks, Jr: 90, U.S. actor and producer. He created a movie career despite being under his father’s shadow. Best known for ‘Gunga Din’ and ‘The Prisoner Of Zenda’ in the 1930’s. Cause undisclosed. New York, May 7, 2000.

Sir John Gielgud: 96, legendary British actor. Long time star of stage and screen in the UK and US. Remarkable Shakespearean actor. Won an Oscar for ‘Arthur’. Old age, Aylesbury, UK, May 21, 2000.

Walter Matthau: 79, U.S. actor. Best known as Oscar Madison in the ‘Odd Couple’. He was everybody’s favourite grumpy old man. Of a heart attack, Santa Monica, Calif., July 1, 2000

Sir Alec Guinness: 86, renowned British actor. Best known for Oscar-winning performance as the mad colonel in ‘Bridge Over The River Kwai’ and Obi-Wan Kanobi in ‘Star Wars’. Very versatile actor. Old age, West Sussex, UK, Aug. 5, 2000.

Loretta Young: 87, U.S. picture star from Hollywood’s golden age of the 1930’s and 40’s. Oscar winner for ‘The Farmer’s Daughter’ (1947). Emmy winner for ‘The Loretta Young Show’ (1954-63) on TV. Of ovarian cancer, Los Angeles, Aug. 12, 2000.

Richard Farnsworth: 80, U.S. actor. In films for 60 years, first as a stunt man, then at 57 as an actor. Twice nominated for an Academy Award including ‘The Straight Story’. Suicide, Lincoln, N. Mexico, Oct. 6, 2000.

Steve Allen: 78, U.S. comedian, entertainer and songwriter, who pioneered the late-night TV show format of the. He wrote over 5,000 songs, including ‘This Could Be The Start Of Something Big’ and ‘Impossible’. An apparent heart attack in Los Angeles, Calif. Oct. 31, 2000.

The Ellen Show a tv sitcom that aired from 2001- 2002 on CBS. This was the 2nd attempt by Ellen Degeneres to make a tv show. Previously she played in These Friends of Mine & Ellen. The Ellen Show was unable to gather strong ratings and was canceled.

The Shows story line was Ellen had to go back to her old slow lifestyle in her quiet town away from the hussle and bussle of her former fast paced stresses of the big city. Once Ellen returned home she gets acquainted with a old high school flame, Rusty. Rusty gets fooled into believing they can have a relationship like in the past but unknown to him Ellen is a lesbian.

Being away from her old friends and her big city life, Ellen did start to adjust and get use to her old home town life.

Ellen decided to take another crack at making another show after the Ellen Show. She decided to make a day time talk show and be the star in it. The Ellen Degeneres show, her newest show turned out to be and extremely successful show and is still on air.

Just like other shows such as Dr. Phil, Oprah, Today Show, Bonnie Hunt Show and Jay Leno show the Ellen Degeneres Show is a talk show. The Ellen Degeneres show is often shortened to just Ellen and is shown on stations owned by NBC.

A worth watching and a great film, Carlos, can give a warming welcome to the movies director and it’s our duty to promote him little higher. Another beauty about the movie is, it runs more than five and half hours joining all the three parts of the film. Marxist revolutionary during the period is taken as the main objective of the film. Edgar Ramirez is the main character of the movie plays excellently performs the Carlo’s role and coincidentally performing in the Che.

Edgar’s performance in the movie is quite awesome and he has the enough grace to show up his performance among the American spectators but it is quite difficult to win over the local audience. However, the film has given him to perfect chance to promote his acting skill as he his performance in the movie has risen to higher era as a man enjoying his personal things and living a life with money, destructing weapon and women.

Carlos character is framed as a pathetic man with appreciable performance having individual vision and a dedicated protagonist who fights for his own vision. At the beginning of the movie he is introduced as Popular front for the Liberation of Palestine and lot of twists are present in the movie to raise the viewers thrill. In the next scene the hero, transform into a hired gun who never realizes it. He is practiced to many of the anti social activities against the nation and blindly supports to whom provide him enough money, pleasure and protection.

Many situation hangs without continuity and such imperfections are very quite available in Assayas’s films. Local audience may not pay enough attention to appreciate the movie for these reasons though the movie has got more number of attractive things than compared to the Soderbergh’s Che. Another drawback is Assayas follow many scenes that lack in the creation of perfection in the story and another great drawback is the music in the movie. One can strongly say that the music went wrong in all the way. The director had no enough imagination in adding the songs and they often overlap with scenes and fails to comprise with the story track.

The over imagination that no where supportive to the story and also no where offer much aid to the narrative. Third part of the movie is the biggest of the other parts since the spectators should have more patience and talent! Attractive characters and Assayas team were very aggressive to make the movie a huge success and the fact is, Carlos is out of the race.
